Based in Lincoln, Neb., NMPP Energy is the trade name for four nonprofit organizations, one of which is the Nebraska Municipal Power Pool, which develops PowerManager® software for use by municipal utilities and businesses.
The three other organizations of NMPP Energy serve communities in the areas of retail and wholesale natural gas and wholesale electricity.

Founded in 1975 by 19 communities in Nebraska who shared a common vision of working together to achieve the same energy goals, the Nebraska Municipal Power Pool has grown to more than 190 member communities in seven Midwest and Rocky Mountain states.
Salt Creek Software, Inc. (SCS) specializes in the development and support of accounting and customer information software applications. These applications are designed to meet the needs of municipalities, municipal utilities and rural public power districts. Located in Lincoln, Neb., and formed in 1997, SCS is a small but experienced company. Each SCS employee has developed, supported and customized municipal and utility related software for an average of 20 years.
In June 1999, SCS and NMPP Energy formed a partnership in creating what is now known as PowerManager®. This suite of municipal accounting and customer information applications is used by municipalities and utilities from coast to coast. SCS employees attend the PowerManager® Users Group (PMUG) Annual Conference each year to listen to users’ needs, give presentations and provide training updates.
SCS is continually keeping pace with technology by updating its development tools and incorporating these advances into its software products. Whether it is developing new products, providing customer support or making customized modifications to meet the needs of a specific user, SCS always strives to provide the best value.
